Where is your prismatic evolutions product?

Prismatic Evolutions is the January special set of English Pokemon.  The Japanese equivalent is Terastal Festival.

Many people in the Pokemon Hobby have already heard at how high the demand is for Prismatic Evolutions in addition to how limited the supply would be for small stores like the PokeChalet.

When we received our allocation numbers from our distributor (December 17th), we began the process of figuring out how to fairly make the product available to our customer base.

While some stores took pre-orders and had to cancel, we understood the market and the inability to predict allocations.  We understood the fallacy of taking pre-orders when all indications were limited supply of this product.

Pokechalet was only distributed 30 ETBs, 12 Poster Collections, 12 Binder Collections, 12 Sticker Collections.

To share what this means, this is roughly the size of the order for 1 of our larger loyal  customers who enjoy ripping packs over the course of a set release.   For similar sets like Crown Zenith, we received 80 ETBs, and 18 to 24 of each of the collection box SKUS.    This is a significant difference in what we normally are allocated.

We understand that our distributor is doing everything they can do to fairly distribute product and ensure it isn't just the "big stores" that get all the product.  They have been very communicative on the supply limitations for this release and ensure us that more Prismatic Evolutions (In tins, collection boxes, etc) will come to market at fair prices.

Our method to who was invited to buy:
We did not want to charge over MSRP for Prismatic, so we decided to list all of our customers by spend over the last 90 days.  If evenly distributed by spend, this would have resulted in 75% of our prismatic evolutions product going to 10 people.

Only supplying packs and product for 10 people is not what we wanted to achieve as a trustworthy store in our hobby.  Instead we spread out the product to the top 30 customers over the past 90 days and sent out notifications to each of those customers on what we would have available to them to purchase.

Only 2 of the 30 customers did not want to purchase Prismatic Evolutions.  As we maintained a customer list, we are slowly working down that list and contacting additional people and letting opt to purchase Prismatic Evolutions at MSRP.

When we go through our MSRP priced product, we will be requesting a restock at distribution.  Restocks relate closer to "Market" rates and as such - any subsequent waves of ETBs, Noted Collection boxes will need to be priced at market.

We can control the price of product at release (being allocated) but we are forced to either follow the market when we restock - or not restock at all.   We do not know the restock price and cannot guarantee more product at this time.

We apologize to those past customers who didn't make our list of customers by spend.  Some customers are local. Some are in Alberta and BC! (and even some in Ontario! Yuk!). But we did our best to get product out to the people who frequent our store in person and online.   We do appreciate everyones business and we hope to provide better access to Pokemon in 2025.
